I must admit, it is both flattering and refreshing to hear from many of my family members and friends that they've been missing my blog. I guess I never really realized how many people are interested in what I have to say on this little page. It's given me the kick in the you know what I needed to motivate me and inspire me to get going on the blog again.
So besides the continuous projects we're working on around the house, countless hours at work, and many dinners with family and friends, here's a quick recap of what you've missed over the past month or so...
First off, and this is monumental, Corey got his first pedicure. It was so fun getting to do this together! I've been trying to convince him for years that he'd love it, and finally he caved. Looks like I have a new pedicure partner!
To celebrate Corey's birthday, my mom, Nellie, Ben and I all went to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. We made a pit stop at some natural hot springs, watched a lot of March Madness basketball games, spent some time in the casinos, and walked around beautiful South Shore. It was just what we needed to get away from it all and celebrate my main man.
I was a particularly bad blogger this Easter, where I didn't take any of my own pictures of Brendan and Johnny's first Easter. I also didn't capture our very first "adult" Easter egg hunt that my mom and dad put on for my sisters, all the boys, and I. It was hilarious as we all rushed in the house to find the eggs. My sisters and I knew all the hiding spots, so we of course found the eggs way faster, but it was mostly the boys that scored the big bucks in their eggs. Love this new family tradition!
I also headed to the East Coast for my second work trip to New York. I got to see some places I missed the first time, like Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, and Radio City Music Hall. It was a longer trip this time, but was mostly spent working.
Which is the story of my life lately. One of my coworkers is on maternity leave for the next two months, so work has been especially busy with the extra client work I have taken on. But with this post, I am promising to get back to blogging regularly! It means a lot to me (and my family!) to document this crazy ride we're all on.
Tomorrow I'll have a recap of Brendan's 1st birthday party. Yes, my handsome little nephew is already one year old! Seriously, where does the time go?!
